Isaac Boehmer moved up to the Whitecaps FC first-team roster in August 2020, climbing up the club's ranks starting from their Okanagan Academy Center.

Calgary BMO Academy Centre

Name: Charlotte Robertson 

Birth Year: 2012

What her coaches say: Charlotte is a player that always gives 100% in every session at our academy. This is highlighted by her recent growth when pressing the ball. Charlotte is a player that shows fantastic aggression and determination to win the ball back. Her ability to regenerate her press from moment to moment make her a very impactful player. We look forward to see her development continue. 


Name: Lucas Barrios-Alvarez 

Birth Year: 2017

What her coaches say: Lucas is a pleasure to coach. This is highlighted by his focus, intrigue and attention to the session topic. This is allowing Lucas to clearly visualize the specific skills and how they can be utilized as a player in the game. This level of attention in sessions, is an attribute as a player that we admire and hope it continues. Well done.

Edmonton BMO Academy Centre

Name: Lana Ghalayeni 

Birth Year: 2011

What her coaches say:  Lana loves to train and engage herself in his process of becoming a top-level footballer. Focused, and switched on, she is always trying to refine her skills and improve each session.

Name: Emma Furey 

Birth Year: 2014

What her coaches say: Emma is a pleasure to coach. She has been improving steadily through her concentrated and consistent efforts and it shows in her dribbling, passing, and 1v1 attacking skills in the sessions. She is an excellent trainer and has a great attitude which is helping her grow as a player. Congrats Emma! 

Lethbridge BMO Academy Centre

Name: Otis Laing 

Birth Year: 2011

What his coaches say: Otis Laing has been a standout performer this month, showcasing his talent, work rate, and positive attitude both within the Whitecaps Academy and at LFC. Consistently solid in training and matches, Otis always brings energy, a smile, and a strong commitment to improvement. His natural ability combined with his dedication makes him a special player with a very bright future ahead. 

Saskatchewan BMO Academy Centre

Name: Dominick Yaholnitsky 

Birth Year: 2009

What his coaches say: Dominick is a player who consistently pushes both himself and the players around him to maintain a high standard within our environment. He is a very versatile fullback both on and off the ball, capable of distributing effectively through short, medium, and long-range passing. Defensively, he competes at a high level, is difficult to beat in 1v1 situations, and consistently shows strong positioning and defensive awareness.

Name: Luci Sambol 

Birth Year: 2014

What her coaches say: Luci Sambol has been named Girls Prospects Centre Player of the Month for May in recognition of the consistently high standards she has shown throughout the programme.Luci has regularly been one of the standout performers in her group, demonstrating excellent quality in training and a real determination to compete in every session. Her intensity, energy, and competitive mindset help drive the level of the group, and she approaches every activity with focus and enthusiasm. Alongside her performances on the pitch, Luci has shown a fantastic attitude towards learning and development. She is always willing to challenge herself, responds positively to coaching, and sets a strong example through her work ethic and commitment. We’re delighted with the progress she continues to make and look forward to seeing her build on this momentum moving forward. 


Name: Khole Hanson 

Birth Year: 2018

What his coaches say: Khole Hanson has been named Boys Prospects Player of the Month for May in recognition of his outstanding attitude, technical quality, and relentless approach in training and matches.Khole has consistently impressed with his ability on the ball and his determination to compete in every moment. He brings great intensity and focus to sessions, while showing the confidence and bravery to apply his technical skills under pressure. His tenacious attitude and willingness to challenge himself have helped him stand out within the group throughout the month. As a result of his strong performances and excellent mindset, Khole has earned the opportunity to move up and train and play with the 2017 age group to provide him with a higher level of challenge and support his continued development.We’re extremely pleased with the progress Khole is making and look forward to seeing him continue to thrive in this new environment. 


Name: Christopher Gomez 

Birth Year: 2015 

What his coaches say: Christopher Gomez has been named Development Centre Player of the Month for May in recognition of his excellent performances and outstanding attitude throughout the programme. Christopher has consistently impressed with his quality and application in training, showing a strong commitment to improving every week. His positive mindset, work ethic, and willingness to learn have helped him stand out within the group and have earned him a move into our Boys Prospects Centre.He approaches every session with enthusiasm and focus, while demonstrating a high level of coachability and professionalism for his age. Christopher should be very proud of his progress so far, and we look forward to supporting his continued development in the Boys Prospects environment.

Name: Cian Faulkner 

Birth Year: 2013

What his coaches say: Cian has really impressed this month by showing real technical quality when in possession of the ball and, bravery to take players on, be creative and look for positive passes. Keep up the good work!
